OceanBreeze
is built using prefabrication techniques for mass production and is
assembled with the Wind Turbine and tested inshore,
minimising commissioning risk and cost offshore. Key
features include the proven
buoyant structure that forms the platform used with a patented
gravity base. This can be fitted with low cost scour protection
where needed and typically no seabed preparation will be required.
A Telescopic Tower option
reduces the need for high lift offshore maintenance vessels.
SeaBreeze: Floating can
also be de-installed and towed back to shore for upgrades and major
maintenance work if required.
OceanBreeze
is a low cost taught tethered buoyant solution using a patented
design and proven installation methods. It
provides the best lightweight and lowest cost solution to date for
deeper waters forming a stable foundation for the wind turbine.
Typically installation requires a tow-out of the gravity base and ballast operation followed by tow out of the assembled and tested wind turbine on its foundation structure. Finally electrical connection is made using standard J tube type systems.
OceanBreeze

similar structures for marginal oil and gas field developments.
